This application process takes about 15 minutes. Here’s how to get through it in one pass.
- The KCP Direct-Enroll program does not grant academic credit. To receive academic credit, you must apply through one of our sponsor universities:

- You must complete this application in one session; sorry, but there is no interim way to save the form.
- This online application assumes you will pay your application deposit with a credit card. If you prefer to pay your non-refundable $350 deposit with cashiers check or money order, please click here to download and print the application.

Complete your written personal essay.
You can then just copy it into the online application form. It is a 500-word essay on why you want to enroll in KCP, including expectations for your Japan experience, academic/professional goals, and previous travel or study in Japan.
Have your social security number handy.
Have your credit card and billing information ready.
